Skin Makers, for now i susgest thay you guys, put your amazing work in a hold for a moment! and wait the new Supercard OS!

MAYBE it will be a new skin system, and maybe the old one cant be used!

As soon as I put my hand in the the beta of the New OS! i will try to post as many information as i can about the skin structure!

IF the old skys arent suported, i sugest a update the most populars skins to the new system.

they have fix some little stupid things with EOS beta 06/01/10.

For exemple in the 31/12/09 version, only one directory was existing for realtime menu.

With that there is no way to have a realtime menu for each skin !
But with 06/01/10 each skin have its own realtime directory in it.

SC also add
fileNameColor=
HTextColor=
HTextHighLightColor=
and del some other line in uisetting.ini file

Now skin's structure is like that :
Skinname : 31 pictures / 1 ini
-----icon : 10 pictures
-----realtime : 4 pictures

All could (of course) be changed in next beta ^^.

Probably the best would be to wait a bit more, since from what i see, there will be more changes in the skin structure. For example the file handling menu that will be added, and that apparently pressing L or R will change the menus on the top to show some others.

I have already seen that.
With this system it's really simple to add a new item in start menu.

For now there is only 3 items :
setup -> setbtn.bmp
save -> savbtn.bmp
cheats -> cheatbtn.bmp

To add more items in menu SC have only to add a new
xxxbtn.bmp
and one more line in
[start menu]
part of language file.

Nothing really hard to update in a skin ^^.

I will do beta skin for beta EOS. It's a good way to try the new skinnning system and to see if ztc119 will do a better skin than mine (i know him, i have already work with him on a skin : here)

It's a sort of personnal skinning challenge (and ztc119 is really very very good in graph !)

Lol, good luck with the skin challenge.
I also checked the structure a bit and as you mention it's easy to add buttons and all, but i'm kind of negated with most of the creative things, lol so i'm not good for that.
I have used some of your skins before and they are great, so it's nice to see that you will start to work on the EOS ones.

I've actually done a lot of skin designing for Blackberry phones is this somewhat similar or a totally different beast?
Nothing more time consuming then editing a picture 20 times for a custom battery meter ....

Yes, it's a beta OS don't do anything right now.

I will do a skin but i'm a beta tester and it's for fun, for other people wait the final version or at least a beta public or a release candidate.
